Your septic system is underground with an smaller access for maintenance. Because the access is designed to be unobtrusive, it may not be immediately noticeable where the clean-out is. If the Seller does not know where it is, don’t worry. Your septic inspector can usually find it quite easily.
Plan to have your septic system pumped every 2-3 years for best efficiency. Avoid driving heavy equipment or vehicles over the drainfield to prevent overly compacting the soil. With proper care, your septic system should last a long time without giving you much trouble.
